UAE Family Visa

If you're currently working in the UAE and your monthly salary is above AED 4,000, you have the option to sponsor your immediate family members, such as your parents, spouse, and children. However, for sponsoring your parents, the monthly salary should be more than AED 20,000.

The good news is that the process is quite straightforward. All you need to do is visit the nearest Amer Center, conveniently located across various areas in Dubai. When you go, make sure to bring the required documents, including your original Emirates ID as the sponsor. At the center, you can easily apply and pay all the necessary government fees directly.

Amer Center

The Amer Centers are the authorized service centers of the General Directorate of Residence and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA). Whether you need to apply for a new visa or renew an existing one, you can visit your nearest Amer center. Just submit the required documents, pay the government fees, and a nominal service fee if applicable.

Your documents will be verified for authenticity at the Amer center, and they will be electronically uploaded for review by the immigration officer. If any additional information or documents are needed, the immigration office will inform you, and you can provide them by visiting the Amer center.

Family File

Family file opening a necessary step for creating a sponsorship file in immigration. It allows you to add dependents to that file with immigration. it's a one-time procedure, so once it's done, you're all set.

Entry Permit

To get started, make your way to the nearest Amer center. Don't forget to bring all the necessary documents, as well as your original Emirates ID.
Once you're there, a customer service officer will verify your documents, and apply for the dependent family visa, and collect the required fees.
After that, your application will be reviewed by an immigration officer. If it's approved, they'll send you the entry permit document via email. However, if there are any additional details they need, they'll let you know through SMS and email. In that case, you'll have to visit the Amer center again and provide the requested information or documents.
Keep in mind that there are two types of entry permits available: inside country entry permit and outside country entry permit. The inside country entry permit is for those who are already in the UAE with a tourist visa or another type of visa. The outside country entry permit is for those who are not yet in the UAE.
Both applications are pretty similar, except that the inside country entry permit has an additional fee of AED 600. Important thing to Note - the approved entry permit is not a visa, but rather a permission to enter the UAE. To get the visa, you'll need to complete some additional procedures mentioned below.

They'll need some blood samples and you'll undergo an X-ray examination. Once the DHA examines your samples, they'll send a fitness certificate straight to your email. Once you receive the fitness certificate, you can go ahead with your visa stamping application. It's worth noting that there are two types of visa screenings – VIP and regular. If you choose the VIP screening, you'll get the fitness certificate within 30 minutes. But if you don't mind waiting a bit, the regular screening takes about 24 hours. For urgent visa needs, I suggest going for the VIP screening.

Visa Stamping

The visa stamping application is the final step, and once you've completed the visa medical screening and received the fitness report, you can head over to the nearest Amer center. There, you can complete the visa stamping application by paying the necessary government fees. It's pretty much the same as the entry permit application.
However, please note that there won't be any physical stamping now. Instead, you'll receive a digital soft copy of the visa, which you can use with your Emirates ID for travel or show it digitally if required.

Emirates ID Biometrics

If this is your first time as a resident and you haven't had a UAE residence visa before, you'll need to visit the Emirates ID Customer Happiness Center. They have locations throughout Dubai. Make sure to bring your original passport, visa medical fitness certificate, and your Emirates ID application.
Also, please note that you'll need to schedule an appointment for biometric screening, which can be done when you submit your application. However, don't forget to complete your visa medical screening and obtain the visa medical screening certificate before your appointment date.
